Requests for official Hamilton County criminal records must go to the government office that holds them. The routes below identify the sheriff and court clerks responsible for arrest reports, booking details, misdemeanor cases, and felony files. This private reference site cannot retrieve, change, certify, or file a record.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private resource cannot retrieve criminal records, perform official checks, correct a file, or accept an expunction petition. Contact the responsible public office directly.

Hamilton County records are divided by agency and court level:

  • Felony court files: District Clerk, Suite 215, 102 N. Rice Street, Hamilton, TX 76531; 254-386-1240
  • Class A and B misdemeanor files: County Clerk, Suite 107 at the same courthouse; 254-386-1203 or 254-386-1205
  • Arrest, booking, jail, and sheriff reports: Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, 1108 S. Rice Street, Hamilton, TX 76531; 254-386-8120 or 254-386-8128
  • State criminal history: Texas Department of Public Safety, Crime Records Division
  • City incident reports: contact the agency that investigated the event, including Hico Police for Hico matters
  • Expunction and nondisclosure filings: ask the clerk of the court with the underlying case

The sheriff and jail do not publish separate records-counter hours, so call before visiting. The clerks also do not post consistent public hours. Written District Clerk requests may be emailed to districtclerk@hamiltoncountytx.org or mailed to Suite 215; the official form requires advance fees and allows two business days after the count and payment process.
