Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Hamilton County Criminal History. Accessing the site signals agreement with all terms below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using it.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no local, Texas, or federal government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to route readers to Hamilton County and Texas criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of all government offices. It does not store official criminal files, retrieve records, perform official background checks, or submit papers for a visitor.

Its content identifies the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, criminal court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and outside research tools that may serve different record questions. Official access remains governed by the Texas Public Information Act, court rules for judicial records, and Government Code Chapter 411 for criminal-history dissemination.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor’s access
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Use content for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
  • Violate any federal, Texas, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. Such conduct can be criminal. The Texas Public Sex Offender Registry exists for community safety under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62. It does not authorize vigilantism, retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners’ tools are likewise not offered here for regulated screening. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Set an insurance rate or judge creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose governed by the FCRA

A legally regulated check must be obtained from the proper official channel or a screening company that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Hamilton County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to a particular person. Consult a licensed Texas attorney for that analysis.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Outside search results will be complete or correct
  • Every page will be free from defects or security weaknesses
  • Service will continue without interruption
  • Published information will always be current, complete, and accurate

Charges, dispositions, expunction orders, and access rules change. Gaps and delays can occur. Nothing published here is an official statement from the sheriff, a clerk, a court, Texas DPS, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff, court, Texas agency, legal-resource, or outside search websites. We do not control a destination’s content, availability, fees, or data practices and accept no responsibility for them. Review the destination’s terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Hamilton County Criminal History or its content partners own the site’s text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage arising from use of this site, its content, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, actions, demands, legal fees, and related costs caused by your site use or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or end access at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected text will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
